Rustington by Sea

Picture
The pebble beach becomes a sandy wonderland as the tide goes out and mostly families with young children play and picnic out by the waves. The current owners have happy memories of many days splashing in the sea and building dams around the breakwaters (that's boys for you).

Tidal Encounters

At full tide the sea can recede as much as 100 metres. The Littlehampton/Rustington beach was reported in 2009 as being one of the top 100 'cleanest sea water' beaches in the UK.

The Area
Elm Farm is ideal for family get-togethers, celebrations, or as a base to explore the many varied attractions of West Sussex.

Rustington
Since Victorian times Rustington has continued to grow in size and has earned itself a colourful history along the way. The village still boasts an array of flint and thatched cottages and two Conservation areas, which add to its character and charm. Perhaps the most alluring feature of the picturesque village of Rustington, however, is its attractive pebble covered beaches and sea views. The continental atmosphere provides residents with the perfect seaside haven.

Entertainment and Amenities
Rustington caters for the needs of its guests and residents with a thriving shopping centre featuring many popular high street stores, restaurants and public houses, three churches, and several doctors' and dentist' surgeries. Those who enjoy keeping fit are well catered for, as Rustington boasts its own Esporta, a health and fitness club, which provides a well equipped gym, studio classes, swimming pool and spa, fitness arena, crèche, sunbeds and a bar restaurant. The stunning scenery of the remarkable South Downs is also close at hand for those who enjoy a relaxing stroll or bike ride, or simply a family picnic.
The Rustington Golf Centre is just a 3 minute drive away and features an extensive driving range, an 18 hole course and a 9 hole par 3 course for the family.

Close at Hand
For those who prefer something a little more lively, the seaside town of Worthing and the vibrant coastal city of Brighton are 8 miles and 16 miles away respe ctively. Worthing is a traditional town with a selection of picturesque gardens, theatres and historic houses whilst Brighton with its famous pavilion and piers, boasts a multi-screen cinema, an ice rink and other sporting facilities. And of course Worthing and Brighton also have a collection of attractive beaches. 4 miles to the North lies the castle town of Arundel, ancestral home to the dukes of Norfolk, with its ancient town centre surrounded by parkland including the famous Wild Fowl and Wetlands Trust. Just 16 miles to the west of Rustington lies the bustling historic city of Chichester. The spire of its remarkable cathedral dominates the skyline of the city, while amongst its streets lies an array of museums, theatres, scenic parks and gardens, as well as a host of shops and leisure, entertainment and sports facilities. Nearby, is the Goodwood race track, home of Glorious Goodwood and many other horse racing and historic motorcar events.
